Aladdin and the Lamp

The version of Aladdin, which are probably more familiar with Disney in the 1992 film adaptation. The film turns the story into a musical, and makes all sorts of subtle changes and not-so-thin from the original story.

The beginning of the film remained remarkably intact, a magician (now known as Jafar) Aladdin send in a cave to retrieve a magic lamp, without telling him that the cave is cursed. As in the original story ends with Aladdin's lamp and wants to become aPrince, so that he marry the princess.

E ', however, that the ways the two separate stories. Instead of delivering the lamp princess parrot is stolen by Jafar, Iago. Jafar wants to become the world's most powerful magician and Aladdin banned across the world.

Instead of losing to a ring around the Wizards, as in the book uses Aladdin's magic carpet to fly back to the palace and confront Jafar. Jafar tricks, must be a genius,Take a lamp, Aladdin uses his last wish to free his spirit.

Although it is clear to see that does not follow the film, the original story, a rare, there are no side effects often for reasons of additional characters (the monkey Abu, Magic Carpet and the parrot Iago), followed, and goes on his way to Aladdin's relationship with the princess posing as a love story and not as a matter of possession, as it was in the original story. However, changesunderstandable: they are needed, first, the story more fun for children, and secondly, to update them to reflect the modern attitude.

Disney also has two movie sequel, The Return of Jafar and King of Thieves, and a TV series - but the less said about these, the better. Needless to say, have little to do with the original Arabian Nights.
