Lessons in Entrepreneurship - How to Steal a Business

Today I met the head of a television production company, many organizations, executives and professionals help make themselves known.

Suppose that super-CPA John Doe wants to get more business. He would pay a fee, be interviewed by the production company in their studies, and the resulting tape will be broadcast on television. Doe could then send the interview on its Web site, send them to other media, and give potential customers.

This is a cool concept, and after consultationby accident, I wanted to learn more.

So, I have an appointment and met with the head and we talked for an hour.

He has revealed enough to beat me

(1) At present this is a profitable business, and possibly big business.

(2) He will not realize its full potential, because its vision is limited painful for them.

(3) I do not like to work with him because of the restrictive provisions in contracts that would be me in handcuffs, whichyou could build within its methods (unlike me) after the company split.

(4) It may make more sense for me, just open to improvise my lab and, while my suffering growing pains.

One might ask: "And 'stealing?" If you like originality, like me, at first glance it feels to do it, but I am convinced that it is not.

It's "Creative Imitation", a technology business highly recommended by none other than management gurus, and my late Professor Peter F.Printer. Your goal is essentially what someone else does, but better, cheaper, faster and larger scale or with your personal style.

It 'done all the time. One of my consulting clients, a large photo company told me, that's exactly what has been the founder, after seeing a small study of success at a remote vacation home.

He loved his concept, but thought that you would never use, right. So, with a partner, he opened his own fine-tuning of the program,Prices and feel of the place.

I bet you've seen one of their units, but you've probably never seen the "original".

The same goes for McDonald's. Ray Kroc is generally branded as "founder" of this world, but it was the McDonald brothers, the CA had its origin in San Bernardino. Since its multi blender merchants, Kroc's eyes were wide open looking to grow their sales.

With a vision of expansion, has bought the rights to the franchise. InLooking back, after adding his own genius and hard work on the mix, you might say, has negotiated a "steal a deal."

It 's more common for innovators to reap rewards in the short term, as such, but for the ego, ignorance, or lack of resources to fall radar if someone with a larger perspective, is like a Ray Kroc .

Remember Bomar Brain, a computer with many functions? In its day it was really something, like the original Commodore "portable"Computer. None of these devices exist today, garage outside a museum or art-dusty.

Should we? Not really, as today's followers, imitators, and soil, much better to sell products at lower prices than the originals.

Although there are successful actions against those who steal copyrights, trademarks, patents and trademarks can, then the look, color scheme, graphics, logos and other proprietary matters are submitted by companies, are an IDEACompanies can not exclude completely preserved.

This is what smart entrepreneurs are looking for - great ideas under-used wording that reject or simply refuse to properly take advantage of their own.

For entrepreneurs, which in this context, the winning question: "What is an original idea, the work" but "What can the original idea works best?"
